15th May, 1890.
In accordance with the concluding paragraph of the above letter, I have the honour to report that enquiry has been made of the Colonial Government in question as to the present state of the removal of the Lazaretto from Stonecutter's Island, and
Therewith a copy of
I forward the reply of the Colonial Secretary dated the 3rd instant
It appears from this that hulk to replace the Lazaretto will probably be completed in October, but that "before relinquishing the latter the Government desires
